BYO (Build Your Own!) TOUR

Our BYO Tour is quite simple!

If there is a particular sporting event that you would like us to investigate for you, just let us know the details! The more details, the better.

A domestic BYO Tour requires about 10 tour guests; an international BYO Tour usually requires 20 tour guests.

If you can provide us with the event name, dates, location with an indication of numbers of people interested in such a tour, we will do the research, work with our travel and event partners and come back to you with an indicative, required investment for an amazing, tour experience!

In general, we like to do all the work – so you don’t have to. This usually includes domestic/international airfares, land transport, accommodation, event/hospitality ticketing and selected meals. We may also try to include a Tour Host for the group – possibly a former player or well-known media personality. Some events allow for additional leisure time (stadium tours, training sessions and sightseeing) whilst others – like Test Cricket – can provide several days between events that might allow you to travel to another holiday destination in between events. We are happy to seek to include all those details, where possible.

Generally, the more time we have to plan for the event, the greater the opportunity to seek the best deals for you – and to avail of event tickets which can sometimes be in huge demand. So please give us plenty of notice and we will work hard to produce a really attractive itinerary for your group.

Please respond to the questions below and submit or forward all of your details to info@realdealsportstours.com.au and we will reply as quickly as possible. Maybe copy/paste the below into your email, if it is easier!

Generally, one (1) hospitality ticket is included as part of each individual package for the event. It is highly unlikely that we can provide individual event tickets on their own, without the other components of a tour.

We will confirm the BYO Tour itinerary with you, recognising that this may be impacted by fixture changes and other variables beyond our control. We will do our very best to accommodate for such changes where possible.

Determining whether your health, fitness, and pandemic vaccination status qualifies you for one of our tours, is entirely your responsibility. This includes every aspect of passport, visa, vaccination and health immigration requirements and, whilst we will always direct you to the local Embassy, Consulate or the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT –  www.smartraveller.gov.au ) for clarification, we will not be held responsible for any tour guest who breaches the requirements and regulations of the host country/city. Any breaches of these responsibilities which might prevent you from travelling to or participating in any aspect of the tour, will be at your exclusive cost up to and including any losses which we incur as a result of your breach.

Whilst COVID-19 regulations and preventative requirements differ from country to country and state to state, you accept that you will willingly comply with any stated preventative measures that will minimise the spread of COVID-19 to fellow tour guests, fellow passengers or other members of the general public. Failure to do so may result in the immediate cancellation of your tour. In such a case, you will be exclusively responsible for all associated costs, fines and penalties and we will not be held responsible for any legal action whatsoever associated with the cancellation of your tour. You acknowledge that you are aware of, and assume responsibility for, the risks associated with travelling at this time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability in relation to these additional health risks.

In the unfortunate event that you contract COVID-19 whilst on tour, you agree to isolate from the group at your own expense and follow all local regulations relating to isolation, prior to potentially re-joining the tour. All associated costs will be at your expense and we will not be held responsible for any incurred loss whatsoever.

As a condition of booking, you are required to take out adequate travel insurance for yourself and all nominated members of your booking. You will be required to provide us with evidence of such insurances, if asked. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance. Such travel insurance should cover you and all of your nominated tour guests against the cost of cancellation by you/them, the cost of assistance, including medical and repatriation expenses in the event of personal injury, accident, illness or death, loss of or damage to baggage, loss of money, personal liability insurance and other expenses. It is a condition of us accepting your booking that you have made adequate insurance provision to cover you and your nominated tour guests. Travel Insurance should be in place from the date the booking is confirmed and the deposit is paid.
