THE ASHES 2023

Our sporting rivalry with England spans more than a couple of hundred years. Arguably, the most hotly contested of those sporting battles, The Ashes, will be staged again in the English summer months of June and July, 2023 – 145 years after the battle started.

Australia will take a very competitive Test squad to the Old Dart and we want you to join us as we seek to retain The Ashes yet again. There will be 5 Test Matches played and we will have hospitality packages for many days of four of those Tests. Currently, there are no packages available for the Lords Test. Whilst he packages vary from Test to Test, in general, the hospitality packages include all food and beers, wine and soft drinks as well as tea and coffee throughout the day.

Some cricket enthusiasts of the past have opted to select more than one day of one Test Match package and have chosen to relax on holiday somewhere in England or Europe in between Tests. If this has appeal, we would be happy to help you with those arrangements, too.

The Ashes is an extremely popular sporting event and tickets will be at a premium. Our hospitality packages will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so get in early if you want to be there to, hopefully, give the Poms another cricketing lesson!

Tour package options will reflect pricing for both single and twin share accommodation, including international airfares.

Bookings will be accepted on a first in, best dressed basis.

Please note, we expect that packages will be in high demand. Once released, the allocation of available packages will be made on a first come, first served basis. The sooner you make the payment, the higher will be your prioritised allocation. However, every potential tour guest who contacts us at info@realdealsportstours.com.au will be contacted as a priority before packages are released.

One (1) ticket will be included as part of the package for each available day of each Test Match (regardless of how many days are played, due to weather and/or a quick result). The 5th day will likely be General Admission and will be payable at the ground. We will have allocated tables within a large dining room as well as a seat to watch the cricket. A cricket celebrity will address the group during the major breaks.

As always, our tour itinerary may be impacted by fixture changes and other variables beyond our control. We will do our very best to accommodate for such changes where possible.

Generally, we will travel to the host city on the day prior to the first day of each Test Match. This will be especially important if arriving from overseas. As such, accommodation will be provided for the nights before and of each selected day for each Test.

Tour guests will be able to select multiple days across multiple Test Matches and, should they wish to holiday across England our Europe between the Test Matches, we will be happy to help with those arrangements.

International flights (ex-Melbourne) and 2 nights’ accommodation per day of each Test Match , including  breakfast.

One ticket per guest to the nominated day(s) of each selected Test Match.

Accommodation will be as close as possible to each ground and, to assist with flexibility, guests are encouraged to make their own way to the ground at their preferred time.

Determining whether your health, fitness, and pandemic vaccination status qualifies you for one of our tours, is entirely your responsibility. This includes every aspect of passport, visa, vaccination and health immigration requirements and, whilst we will always direct you to the local Embassy, Consulate or the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT –  www.smartraveller.gov.au ) for clarification, we will not be held responsible for any tour guest who breaches the requirements and regulations of the host country/city. Any breaches of these responsibilities which might prevent you from travelling to or participating in any aspect of the tour, will be at your exclusive cost up to and including any losses which we incur as a result of your breach.

Whilst COVID-19 regulations and preventative requirements differ from country to country and state to state, you accept that you will willingly comply with any stated preventative measures that will minimise the spread of COVID-19 to fellow tour guests, fellow passengers or other members of the general public. Failure to do so may result in the immediate cancellation of your tour. In such a case, you will be exclusively responsible for all associated costs, fines and penalties and we will not be held responsible for any legal action whatsoever associated with the cancellation of your tour. You acknowledge that you are aware of, and assume responsibility for, the risks associated with travelling at this time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability in relation to these additional health risks.

In the unfortunate event that you contract COVID-19 whilst on tour, you agree to isolate from the group at your own expense and follow all local regulations relating to isolation, prior to potentially re-joining the tour. All associated costs will be at your expense and we will not be held responsible for any incurred loss whatsoever.

As a condition of booking, you are required to take out adequate travel insurance for yourself and all nominated members of your booking. You will be required to provide us with evidence of such insurances, if asked. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance. Such travel insurance should cover you and all of your nominated tour guests against the cost of cancellation by you/them, the cost of assistance, including medical and repatriation expenses in the event of personal injury, accident, illness or death, loss of or damage to baggage, loss of money, personal liability insurance and other expenses. It is a condition of us accepting your booking that you have made adequate insurance provision to cover you and your nominated tour guests. Travel Insurance should be in place from the date the booking is confirmed and the deposit is paid.
